Museu Olimpic i del Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch is a newer museum opened in Barcelona on Monjuic mountain next to the olympic Stadium. The museum is built into the side of the mountain and has a floor underground.

The museum is dedicated to the 1992 Olympics and has a vast colection of artefacts from the olympics and vintage sports equipment displayed in a very interactive space that tells the stories about many of Spains sporting champions.

Tuesday to Saturday: 10:00h to 18:00h.

Sunday and Public holidays: 10:00h to 14:30h.

Closed: Mondays, 1 January, 1st, 1st May, 25-26 December.

12th February (Santa Eulalia), 18th may (International Museum Day), 24th September (Festival de la Merce).
