About Museu Frederic Mares

Views: 396. Updated: Sep 21, 2021 by: Barcelona Travel Hacks

The Museum comprises the collection assembled of the sculptor Frederic Mares (1893-1991) which was donted to the city of Barcelona in 1946. Two years later the museum was inurgurated in the former Royal palace of the counts of Barcelona. The museum retains the original courtyard garden.

The museum is split into themed floors and rooms containing scultures, art, collectible items, antique devices such as cameras, childrens toys, playing cards, etc. The collection of this museum is extensive and very well displayed in a beutiful old historic building. Also in the museum are items created by Frederic Mares and his personal library.

I would allow at least two hours to fully explore the museum.
