8 things to do and see in Cuitadella and La Ribera area.

Historically, the area of Parc cuitadella and Ribera residential parts were the site of a large fortress known as the citadel. This was demolished in 1869 and what is now Parc Cuitadella sits in its place, constructed for the 1888 world exposition. Access to parc Cuitadella is via a boulevard from Arc de Triomf. Within the parc is the waterfall monument, Barcelona Zoo, three dragons castle and greenhouses and the Catalan Paliament. Surrounding Parc cuitadella in a former fortress building is the chocolate museum.

Nearest metro is Arc de Truimf on the red line. Barceloneta on the yellow line will get you to 10 minutes walking from Cuitadella.
