5 things to do and see in Sants and Les Corts and Pedralbes area.

I have amalgamated the adjacent Sants, Les Corts and pedralbes neighbourhoods to make this list of things to do and see in the area. These neighbourhoods were isolated villages to the south of Barcelona till the city expanded and absorbed them. They are mostly residential and non-touristy but have some interesting attractions.

Sants is probably best known as the main railway hub of Barcelona but it is also a residential neighbourhood with cheap hostels and the neighbourhood hosts a fiesta mayor similar to Gracia. Les Corts is the financial and business district of Barcelona with many offices in Aveninda Diagonal, therefore, it has many good hotels and restaurants. Les corts is also the home of Barcelona football club stadium which has a beautiful Maternity Hospital garden next to it. Also, in Avenida Diagonal there is a large shopping complex called L'Illa. Pedralbes sits above Avenida Diagonal up to the foothills of Collserola. It is a posh part of town with many of the houses having swimming pools. It is also the location of one of the best preserved monastery museums in Catalunya.

Avenida Diagonal transforms into a motorway leading south of Barcelona but before it does there is the university district with several parks and gardens such as the Cervantes Rose garden and Pedralbes gardens.
