I have amalgamated the adjacent Forum, Besos, Sant Adria and Poble Nou neighbourhoods to make this list of things to do and see in the area. These neighbourhoods are around the Besos River on the north side of Barcelona. Historically these neighbourhoods were the light industrial areas of town but since the 1992 Olympics they have been transformed into up and coming residential areas as the light industry (such as textile processing and metal workshops) is replaced with a mix of refurbished old buildings and modern new build apartments.
Tourism wise there is not much to see here but the neighbourhoods are directly adjacent to the Barcelona beaches. Rambla Poble Nou is pedestrianised and has great terrace dining options. The Forum is the preferred location for live music festivals such as Primavera Sound. Diagonal Mar is a large shopping centre with all the usual global brands.
Happy Exploring!
