Access: Entry to the Basilica de Santa Maria del Pi is via two shallow steps from street level. While the main nave is relatively easy to reach, the crypt museum, treasures room, and Sala de Junta de Obra exhibition spaces require navigating additional steps.

The bell tower and rooftop visit involves a climb of approximately 250 narrow spiral steps within the 2-metre-thick stone walls — a rewarding ascent for those comfortable with tight spaces and moderate exertion. There are no elevators or alternative access routes to the rooftop.

Bicycle parking is available behind the basilica in Placeta de Pi (coordinates: 41.381732, 2.174315). However, we advise caution — this is not a secure location for leaving bikes unattended.

What to bring: A small daypack or 10L museum rucksack is ideal. Pack a bottle of water for the bell tower climb, especially in warmer months. Hats must be removed upon entry, and respectful attire is required — please avoid provocative clothing such as hot-pants, micro skirts, or swimwear.
