Description of the Vilafranca & Penedès Wine County

Vilafranca is the capital of the Penedès area of Catalunya. This area is best known for grape growing, wine and Cava production. (Cava is a Catalan version of Champagne).

This page is about activities to visit bodegas in the Penedès. A bodega is a wine and cava warehouse and production facility. I will also add some walking routes through grape fields and wine making villages in the Penedès area.
