Vilafranca is the capital of the Penedes area of Catalunya. This area is best known for grape growing, wine and Cava production. (Cava is a Catalan version of champagne).
This page is about activities to visit bodegas in the Penedes. A bodega is a wine and cava warehouse and production facility. I will also add some walking routes through grape fields and wine making villages in the Penedes area.
