Day Trip Rucksack
Small 10L day trip and museums rucksack
The vessel is a replica of the Gotheborg I, launched in 1738. The original ship sank off Gotheburg, Sweden, on 12th September 1745, while approaching the harbor on her return from a third voyage to China. Construction of the replica started in 1995, with the hull launched in 2003 and the rig fully tested in 2005.
Gotheburg is the worlds largest operational and sailing wooden vessel from this period.
Gotheburg is not a warship but and armed merchantman with 830 tones cargo capacity and 30 cannon for protection.
Gotheborg has come to Barcelona for her winter stay and is moored at Moll de Bosch i Alsina, at Rambla de Mar. The first days the ship has full crew, is fully rigged and open to visitors. During the winter we will also be open to visitors most weekends until march 2023, but don't miss these first days! Come and visit her in the city harbour!

Please note that that the ship has steep ladders, which are not suitable for people who have trouble walking.
I bought my ticket online and noticed that there was only the option to buy adult tickets. however there is a physical ticket office in a blue shipping container near to the stern of the Gotheborg mooring.
I only recommend taking a small rucksack or bag because access is via a narrow gangplank.
The ship has steep ladders, which are not suitable for people who have trouble walking.
