Description of Costa Dorada

The Costa Dorada is the coastline in Catalunya running south of Barcelona starting in Cunit and ending at Alcanar on the Valencian border of the Mediterranean Sea.

The costa Dorada is served by the Mediterranean corridor railway lines with trains running as a Rodalies service for the towns between Cunit and Coma-Ruga or as a Regional service for towns further south.

The GR-92 coastal path runs the whole length of the Mediterranean coasline and is commonly referred to as La Ronda or Camino de la Ronda. The GR-92 passes via the most picturesque fishing villages and towns like Roc de Sant Gaieta, Tamarit and L'Ampolla. The Costa Durada also has some amazing remote beaches and coves.

on this page I provide a summary of all the towns that can be visited as day or weekend trips along the Costa Dorada. Clicking on any of the photos will take you to that attraction page which has detailed information on what to do and see in each town as well as maps of how to get there and where to stay. Most of these day trips are GR-92 walking activities along the best bits of this coastline.
