There are mutiple ways to get to tibidabo such as funicular de vallvidrera + bus 111 or Funicular de Tibidabo (cuca de Llum) or multiple walking routes in Parc collserola.
This trail is short (3.44Km) and direct but all uphill. Starting at FGC station Avenida Tibidabo, the route takes Avenida Tibidabo to quickly escape the city and enter Parc del Font del Raco. Cutting through this park ends up in Plaza Doctor del Andreu which is the lower station of Funicular de Tibidabo.
To the left of the Funicular station white building is a rural path going up in to Collserola park. This path runs approximately parallel to the Funicular tracks till Carratera del aiguas. From here The trail continues up rural road Carratera Vallvidrera a Barcelona until we turn off towards the Fabra Observatory.
At the Fabra Observatory access road the path continues up again parallel to the Funicular Tibidabo tracks. Crossing the Bv1818 road again the path continues up to Tibidabo Amusement park and Temple.

Tibidabo can also be reached by walking in Parc Collserola from FGC Valvidrera Baxador via Villa Joana.
This route is forestall mostly in oaks and beaches with some pines. You may come across poisonous Pine Processionary Caterpillars in spring and summer. However, because this is close to Barcelona city, the trees near the paths are likely to have Caterpillar traps but always exercise diligence in the spring and summer.
This is a short walking route not far from roads so I always do it with a small rucksack of the essentials. Emergency waterproof jacket is optional depending on the weather forecast. 0.8 litre of water because there are fountains along the route.

Start at Avenida Tibidabo on the FGC brown line (L7) and finish at Tibidabo. From tibidabo you can get the 111 bus to Funicular de vallvidrera or walk down or take my route in parc de collserola forest via Vila Joana to FGC Baixador de Vallvidrera. Use a T-Casual or Hola-Barcelona travel card for the FGC train.
