With a budget of 10 to 25 euros you can visit some of Barcelona's more famous modernist attractions like Gaudi's Palau Guell, Casa Vincens or Casa Mila (La Pedrera) and The Palau de la Musica theatre. In Montjuic, you can also get a ticket on the Montjuic cable car to the Castle or the port cable car from Barceloneta to Montjuic plaza Miramar and access to Poble Espanyol. On the other side of Barcelona, Tibidabo funicular and parc de attraciones also fall within this price bracket. Finally, in the city centre Boat tours around Barcelona port such as the gondolinas or Goleta Kayra are within the 10 to 25 Euro price range.
For day trips a budget of 10 to 25 euros will buy a return train ticket to Montserrat mountain via the cremallera of cable car where there are plenty of free walking activities for all levels and the Monastery Basilica is free entry. Lunch in the buffet restaurant will cost about 15 to 20 euros or about 10 euros for a sandwich and drink in the cafe in plaza Abat Oliba.
A return train ticket to many Costa Dorada destinations such as L'Hospitalet del Infant, Torredembarra, Ametlla de Mar and Ampolla is a worthy investment because there are some amazing beaches and the Gr-92 coastal walking trails. Also, south of Barcelona on the Costa Dorada is Tarragona city with extensive roman ruins and for about 25 euros return train fare and a combined MHT ticket can be purchased for the Amphitheatre, Circus and Praetorium. With change left over to get a short bus ride to visit the aqueduct.
Going north to the Costa Brava a return bus trip to Tossa de Mar to visit the castle, town and beaches is also a great day out. A budget of 10 to 25 euros per day will buy bus tickets to do El Camino de la Ronda over three days between Palamos and Begur which is my favourite part of the Costa Brava. What you spend on accommodation varies if you chose hotels, hostels or camping.
10 to 25 euros puts many of the Pyrenees and pre-Pyrenees destinations within reach for great hiking trails, waterfalls, and mountain views.
